When it comes to event planning, Nathalie Cadet-James is practically a magician. As founder and president of Luxe Fête Event Planning and Design Studio, she has a penchant for bringing whimsical celebrations to life. Her international event company crafts chic weddings, social celebrations, innovative brand activations, corporate events, and luxe galas. From weddings in the valleys of Tuscany to private events for public figures like Hillary Clinton, her portfolio is nothing short of enchanting.
As a lawyer turned event extraordinaire, Cadet-James blends her methodical attention-to-detail with her innate creative talent. She and her team deem themselves cultural anthropologists who “study human connection and culture” to get a feel for their clientele. “Once we understand this dynamic from our clients, we let go, and dream of all the special details that will make our event a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” says Cadet-James. Personalization is the key element that distinguishes one event from another and makes her clients feel special.
The field of event design is pure artistry, and there is nothing Cadet-James loves more than finding ways to tell a story within her work. With LEVEL THREE’s unveiling, her wheels have already begun to turn with ways to expertly use the space. “What I love most about LEVEL THREE is that it is both a blank canvas and outdoor urban oasis. There is so much light and air in the space — our secret for a beautiful event,” she shares. LEVEL THREE is the ideal space for “clients who love luxury and versatility,” Cadet-James continued.
Relevancy is critical in event planning, requiring Cadet-James to keep her finger on the pulse of the latest trends in her industry. She finds inspiration in fashion, interior design, music, art, travel, and a reconnection to nature called biophilia. “There is great interest in emphasizing the relationship between humankind and nature, and the connections between the two,” she explains.
When musing on the opportunity to marry nature with humanity in LEVEL THREE, Cadet-James identifies “lots of greens, natural, and organic materials” as perfect elements to incorporate. “We would toss in monochromatic color schemes, likely in blush or rosewater. It’s as if all the beautiful light that LEVEL THREE brings to the table makes a creation come to life,” she declares. “I would be remiss to not somehow incorporate the gorgeous trends that we are seeing from fashion houses on the runway, which are also seen in the nearby stores,” she quixotically continues.
The electrifying, effervescent passion Cadet-James has when dreaming up event installations and color palettes is the same spark that led her to shift career paths and follow her dream. “The passion that I have for telling stories through design and execution holds us to a very high standard, and for our clients, this means the work product will be exceptional,” Cadet-James passionately exclaims.
